The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
His background is relevant. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.
What You Trade On
You get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 once they try it.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly in the works. That will make the platform set when it lands.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Good for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.
VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not for most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The speed is the area where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that requires honesty. The broker is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. Benjamin Boulter built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of how you think about it.
The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.
